Trinkets of desire - Fully fashioned stockings

I am quite partial to stockings, amongst other things.
But a real heart-flutter to me are fully fashioned stockings.
These stockings are not of your usual stretchy kind. Fully fashioned means they were sewn together on their back seam.
I am not very kind to my stockings, and go through them like a box of chocolates. But these stockings are made to last. And they do last, I can vouch for that.
They are, however, somewhat costlier than  your usual stockings because there are very few factories left, and they are only made on old machinery.

The Image is from What Katie Did  , my go-to place for vintage stockings and all things vintage. This pair will set you back £20.00, but they are oh so worth the price!

Windy Saturday and Art Deco

This Saturday I met up with a dear friend of mine I see far too little of, and after a cup of coffee in the town center we set off to Museum of Arts and Crafts to see their Art Deco exhibit.
The exhibit itself was wonderful, much larger than I expected, and this wonderful beach suit caught my eye and made my heart flutter:

Isn't it just dreamy?

It was also a chance to save another pair of my lovely shoes, this time they were the Iron Fist Sweet skull o' mine pumps

Please excuse the very messy hair, courtesy of the windy day. The watch pendant is from Azdaja Boutique, and so is the bag, made by Pleaser. The dress is by Coco's retro closet

Naturally, I had to take the chance to have my photo taken with the wonderful car behind me.

Trinkets of desire

I have a soft spot for cherries. They are my favourite fruit, and always make a lovely accessory. So it's no wonder that this little thing caught my eye:

It's available here, and I think it would go lovely with a pair of matching earrings, which are sadly not available.

But this lovely necklace does indeed come with a matching set of earrings:

Aren't they just yummy?
Also available at Accessorize

Monsoon Rowena Cardigan

Oh I am in love!
I always had a soft spot for cardigans, and I always seem to be searching for the next perfect one. This one is my fav of the season so far.

Saved!

Last week I  did quite a bit of saving. For one, there was Harry the Hamster, which someone dumped next to the dumpsters in my building, cage and all, and who now has a happy new home.

And I saved two pairs of my darling shoes.

The first I took for a stroll to visit a shop owned by a friend of mine and staffed by another good friend of mine.

So the Zara black and white booties were saved on Friday:

Sorry for the horrible photo. The pants are done by Coco's retro closet , the shirt is New yorker, and the rings and the pendant are from Azdaja Boutique, the same place the photos are taken.

And on Saturday I went on a shopping-spree with another dear friend of mine. We spreed at the local bookstore, and also in a comic book shop, and had coffee in town, sitting outside in the freezing cold, but warmed by lovely heaters installed all around us :)

Later we went for another cup of coffee, and this photo was taken there:

Thelma booties by Iron fist, Tally Weijl skinny jeans, Zara Shirt and New Yorker cardigan. The necklace and earrings are by Six and the leopard ring is from a local drugstore Bipa.

And more saving to come :)
