My life is ruled by an Iron Fist

Well, the Iron Fist to be precise, as I couldn't resist and hopped by their stockist on Friday (who are having a sale), and got another pair.
The sweet skull o' mine.
I already have the perfect dress to wear them with, made by the lovely Coco :

This brings up my total shoe count to 24, and as per rules of the challenge, there will be pics.

Jumping the (matte) bandwagon

I really like shiny things. My jewelry box is bursting at the seams and there is more glitter in my makeup case than on the entire Cullen family while filming: Twilight: A Sunny Day At The Beach.

But as I was strolling through  my local drugstore the other day Manhattan's Sense Tech 100% mat caught my eye. Maybe it had something to do with the fact that in a shiny store full of shiny things it was a non-shiny thing, or that I was thinking about getting their Atomic red lipstick in matte and it was right there in my face. Either way, I decided to try it out.
At first it was like any other nail polish, perhaps a little grainy in pigment on the first coat, but still shiny. As it started to dry though, the shine started to fade, and after applying the second coat, the end result was this:

The shade is 07, and is not black, but in fact a very very dark green.
Like the other Deborah nail polishes this one seems to be fairly long- lasting and doesn't chip. However, after a few days, the matte did start to get shinier due to the wear and tear of everyday life.
All in all it's one of the better brands and shades/polishes I tried out and I simply adore the deep green colour.

Henky did a bad bad thing...

I went to my friend's shop yesterday to drop off some shoes I was selling, and passed by an Iron Fist stockist. Amazing how two of their shops seemed to be on my way, especially if I take the long and winding route. "
"I know they're on sale", I told myself, "but I'll just look, really..."
We all know how those things end, don't we?

Besides, I couldn't leave my Iron Fist Mombasa pumps all on their own in the closet, could I? Now they have a playmate:

This brings my shoe challenge count up to 23, and if you want a pair of your very own yummy Thelma  Booties, you can get them here

Ancient nail varnish discovered in archeological bathroom dig!

I was going through some of my old hoarded stuff, and discovered this:

The company making it is called Krka Kozmetika, the line is Theater cosmetics, as you can see, and the sticker on the bottom proclaims it to be No 11.

I tried googling a bit for more info on it, but none was to be found.
This particular bottle belonged to my mother somewhere in the 80's, I would say, judging by the colour, and I decided to try it on today. Believe it or not, the polish didn't dry or thicken much, and it dries well.

I believe I will call the shade Radioactive Orange until someone comes up with a better name (or informs me what the shade is really called).

Shoes for the shoe challenge

The pics are a bit crappy, but it was the best I could do.
In total my shoe collection amounts to the following:

5 pairs of flats

6 pairs of sandals and 3 pairs of peep-toes

7 pairs of closed heels aaand...

6 pairs of boots.

So that's it from me, 22 pairs of shoes.  Turns out a few got lost in my last move, so I will just have to do with these :)

Edit:

Thanks for the lovely comments. Both the black and white polkadots and the black and white boots are made by Pleaser, the first is their Bordello line and the second is the Funtasma line :)

The shoe challenge

Hello world!
