Jumping the (matte) bandwagon

I really like shiny things. My jewelry box is bursting at the seams and there is more glitter in my makeup case than on the entire Cullen family while filming: Twilight: A Sunny Day At The Beach.

But as I was strolling through  my local drugstore the other day Manhattan's Sense Tech 100% mat caught my eye. Maybe it had something to do with the fact that in a shiny store full of shiny things it was a non-shiny thing, or that I was thinking about getting their Atomic red lipstick in matte and it was right there in my face. Either way, I decided to try it out.
At first it was like any other nail polish, perhaps a little grainy in pigment on the first coat, but still shiny. As it started to dry though, the shine started to fade, and after applying the second coat, the end result was this:

The shade is 07, and is not black, but in fact a very very dark green.
Like the other Deborah nail polishes this one seems to be fairly long- lasting and doesn't chip. However, after a few days, the matte did start to get shinier due to the wear and tear of everyday life.
All in all it's one of the better brands and shades/polishes I tried out and I simply adore the deep green colour.
