Halloweeny!

Ohhh It’s almost Halloween you guys! I am still kind of keeping it together and decidedly NOT filling every available space around me with pumpkins, plastic spiders and skeletons, fake cobwebs and all other Sp00py stuff. I am, however, sneaking bits of Halloween into my everyday, and using words like Sp00py. Nope, not sorry.

If it were up to me, I would spend the latter half of October dressing up in Halloween costumes every day, and possibly the first half of November as well, and even though my new workplace doesn’t have a dress code (well we do, it’s literally- please don’t walk around in house robes, pajamas and slippers), I am forever in search of something that is both office appropriate and expresses my feelings not only about Halloween, but all things spooky and Sp00py as well.

I think I may have hit the jackpot with my new goodies from Rockabilly Pinup and The Gothic Shop!

I totally fell in love with the spiderweb skirt the moment I saw it. It looked nice and full, and, you know, spider web! There was even a spider dangling off it! It was just meant to be, really. And then it arrived, and I saw that pockets were hiding behind the spider web, I was over the moon. You all know perfectly well how I feel about pockets on skirts and dresses.

The adorable black top with the polkadot collar is also a new addition to my closet, and at first I was a bit worried about how much wear I will get out of it now that the weather is turning colder, but I found it layers quite nicely with a cardigan.

This particular purple bat cardigan, I’ve had for over a year now, and is one of my favourites.  I think this cardigan may be the best example of why I love Banned stuff so much. The cardigan didn’t fade at all, and looks almost as fresh as the day I got it.

I also completed the look with an adorable sugar skull necklace from TheBlackCat Jewellery Store, an adorable medallion with a tiny bow above it, and all a lovely combo of black and purple, just made for Halloween.

until next time!
xoxo
