When TheBlack Cat Jewellery Store sent me their colourful skull charm bracelet, I knew
that it deserved something special. I love
charm bracelets, but too often the dangling charms are too far apart and the overall
look tends to be a bit sparse. Not this one, however, the little skulls almost
overlap and the silvery chain-link is rich and beautifully crafted.
With the
help of the ever stylish Sidonius I came up with this Sorceress/Voodoo Lady
shoot. I was lucky to have had just about everything I needed in my dress-up
chest (also known as - my closet).
It was
rather cold when we were taking the photos, so , for a change, I decided my
posterior has precedence over art, and we kept a blanket on the ground to keep
me from freezing. Villy V however, risked a frozen knee while trying to get the best shot!
It’s truly
amazing what manages to accumulate in your closet and storage spaces when you
aren’t looking. I have been carrying some of these thing around with me through
at least 5 moves and several hundred kilometres, and almost forgot about them
completely, until it was time to assemble this photoshoot.
I also
managed to persuade my dear friend, Ivy, to lend me the shawl she had just
finished making to use in the photo shoot. The colours of the bracelet and the
shawl complemented each other perfectly.
I am a
great admirer of her skill and art, and getting to play around with one of her
masterpieces was a pleasure indeed!
Until next
time!
xoxo
