Ticci Rockabilly- Western Style Dress

Those who follow me on Facebook or Instagram have already seen how in love I am with this Ticci Rockabilly dress.

Not only did Ticci Rockabilly make it just for me, (and by just for me I mean made to measure and I got to pick my fabric), but it’s also, quite possibly THE perfect autumn/winter dress.

For one, it’s incredibly soft, but thanks to the denim inserts doesn’t look like the least bit slouchy or sloppy. For two, it’s warm, and as much as I love winter, I love being warm in winter even more.  Three, it’s the attention to details. You can see and tell when someone loves what they do, and this is so incredibly clear in this Ticci Rockabilly dress. From the beautiful contrast stitching on the denim, to the inside of the pocket flaps being covered in tartan (you can see it on some of the pics),  the design and work are just superb.

I love it so much that I made it my Holiday Dress, aka the dress I wear to not only the traditional Christmas eve dinner with the family, but also after-dinner drinks (aka we get gently kicked out of the house so the parents can relax and have their friends over as well). I got sooo many compliments it was silly!

And speaking of silly, this whole photoshoot was just so much fun! I desperately wanted to shoot at the Advent Fair here in Zagreb, but everything was incredibly crowded, and we couldn’t find the perfect spot, and as we were strolling around, we just saw an empty spot at one of the tables, and used it for a few shots.

We almost gave up, deciding to use the photos we have and were in search of some traditional fried pastries and mulled wine, when we spotted a winter wonderland scene set up in one of the glass display pavilions right next to the ice park. Two lovely young gentlemen let us shoot ahead, and it took us maybe five minutes to get the best shots of the entire day!  We dove straight for the refreshment booths next to the ice rink after that, for some well-deserved snacks.

Until next time!
Xoxo
